It is often said that the purchase of a home is the largest expenditure of money that most of us will make in our lifetime. That fact alone can make it an extremely stressful time. A minor slip-up easily escalates into a firestorm -- and, sometimes, lawsuits. Two sets of eyes reviewing contracts and the dates those contracts drive is the only way -- in our thinking -- to assure you are best served. Consistent communication and responses to emails is also part of what Group Estes Realty is all about.
Before getting my Managing Broker’s license, my background in high tech (Microsoft and Digital Equipment Corporation, to name a couple) and as a business owner (computer & network equipment sales/software development / web hosting / web site design) allowed me to provide support for Chris in two key areas. While what you read on the Group Estes Realty web site mainly comes from Chris, the design and layout, the updates, refreshing and constant drive to add more information to give you greater and greater resources comes mainly from me.
And, my many years with Microsoft and DEC and then serving my own high tech related clients have made me as committed to excellence and clarity as Chris.
In 2016, I was awarded the National Association of REALTORS®’ (NAR’s) Green Designation, the only green real estate professional designation recognized by NAR. To achieve this, I was trained in understanding what makes a property green, helping clients evaluate the cost/benefits of resource-efficient features and practices, distinguishing between industry rating and classification systems, listing and marketing green homes and buildings, discussing the financial grants and incentives available to homeowners, and understanding how buyer and seller preferences may be inspired by resource-efficiency.
I am proud to be part of the American Warrior Initiative, a 501(c)3 non-profit. The objective of the initiative is to educate, encourage, and inspire us to give back to our military. A key part of their work is to educate real estate brokers -- like me -- to the issues and challenges active duty and former military clients face when purchasing a home. I have been through their "boot camp" and have received the American Warrior Real Estate Professional certification. While this is just a start, I am now better prepared to help those that fought to protect the American Dream, live it.
Regardless of whose client the seller is, our process is the same. As an Accredited Staging Professional and a member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals, I assist with the preparations to ready a property for its listing photography, and then work with the professional photographers. Once that is complete, I create virtual tours and videos for the national online advertising we use to promote your property.
For buyers (again, regardless of whose client it is), the process is similar. Chris and I work to create searches based on your criteria. You’ll find local market data on the Group Estes Realty web site which is updated each month, including specific Community Views.
And, for all of you who have expressed a desire to receive them, we also send you a personalized quarterly update of what is going on in the market in your neighborhood or a community of interest.
